A state-wide partnership to further environmental education in Illinois.
IEEAC Accomplishments
Statewide Leadership Clinic
The first of its kind in the country. This clinic provided the training
necessary to develop leadership skills for EE professionals within the
state.
Tools for Non-Formal
Service
Providers
This nationally recognized workshop was designed to help non-formal
educators enhance their skills in preparing and leading teachertraining
workshops. By bridging the gap between formal and non-formal educators,
includes information on the Illinois Learning Standards, an overview of
pedagogy and current developments in the field of EE, and ways to use
alternative means of assessment. Members have also provided Tools
workshops
to other states.
Outreach Team
The Tools Workshop was
offered nationally through
participation in the National EE Advancement Project’s Outreach Team
project.
